Sewing Machine Distribution among Destitute Women

On 11 October, 2016 APON Foundation distributed 5 (five) sewing machines among Dina Begum, Juyena Khatun, Parvin Akter, Salma Khatun and Shorifa Akter, all of whom were family members of APON students of Rayer Bazar slum, upon completion of training on sewing. They are now able to make dresses, which they can sell in the market. With the help of the sewing machines, they can now help their family earn extra income. The aim of the project was to facilitate social security and economic development of destitute women.
